Creativity has always come naturally to me whether musically, or through drawing, photography, or painting.  I have always enjoyed being inspired by the world around me and interpreting it through artwork.  People have always interested me most, their faces and the human form has inspired most of the art work I have produced.  I love trying to capture the personality of a person and their being in my drawings, paintings, and photography, so that when you look at the piece of art in which that part of a person has been captured,  you see the person rather than lines on a page.   Photography is one of my favourite mediums as it allows you to capture in that split second how a person looks, and I think if you are careful, allows you to capture the spirit of that person in that split second.
I like to be creative in all aspects of my life; I help lead worship in the church I attend by playing guitar and singing.  As well as being something that I really enjoy doing it has helped me to be a good forward thinker and be a better planner by planning or helping to plan the set list, which I think is an important quality to have in taking art and design.
My love of creativity has made me want to take Fine Art at MMU, I believe that this course will equip me to become better at my work and will give me the room and space to grow what I believe is special and unique about my work.  I am looking forward to looking at different techniques and broadening my knowledge for art in general, whilst meeting new people and learning from the tutors.  In addition to this I think that this course will enable me to make a living out of being creative.  I am really excited about attending university and can’t wait to start creating in that environment.
